About Lauren E. Trible-Laucht
Lauren E. Trible-Laucht’s practice is focused on assisting individuals and business owners with business transactions, real property and zoning issues, and estate planning matters.
Prior to joining Alward Fisher, Lauren served as City Attorney for the City of Traverse City from 2011-2026. As the City’s in-house general counsel, she advised the City Commission, City officials, and municipal departments on a broad range of legal, governmental, and operational matters encompassing municipal governance, ordinance drafting and enforcement, zoning and land use, property transactions, labor and employment matters, contracts, development agreements, and litigation.
Before joining the City of Traverse City, Lauren was an associate attorney with Jon H. Kingsepp PLLC, where she served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Clawson and represented municipal and private clients in litigation, administrative proceedings, contract negotiations, and labor matters. Her earlier legal experience includes serving as a judicial intern to U.S. District Judge Gerald E. Rosen in the Eastern District of Michigan.
Lauren earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School in 2008 and was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan that same year. She earned her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Kalamazoo College in 2002 and studied law, constitutional law, and German at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn, Germany, as a Kalamazoo College Fellow. She is fluent in German and worked as a translator in Germany for several years prior to attending law school.
In addition to her legal practice, Lauren has been active in professional and community organizations. She served as a board member of the Michigan Association of Municipal Attorneys from 2016 through 2026 and previously served on the board and as President of the Grand Traverse Leelanau Antrim Bar Association. Her professional and community contributions were recognized when she was selected as one of the Traverse City Business News “40 Under 40” Most Influential Professionals in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
Lauren spends her time outside the office with her husband and two young boys. She is also an avid equestrian and enjoys riding and competing hunters and jumpers.
